Today was my first day NSTC Lion, this morning I did lifejacket safety checks & after lunch it was charting! Both of these are VERY important if you're going out to sea! I've learnt loads & it's only day 1 -can't wait for tomorrow #bearswithjobs #BearsWeekAtLion #nauticaltraining

Day 2 NSTC Lion & this morning I learnt about essential communications using VHF radio & light signals then after lunch it was on to #morsecode which was epic - on the board behind me is Bear in morse code! #bearswithjobs #BearsWeekAtLion #nautical #Training

Day 3 of #BearsWeekAtLion learning awesome #nautical stuffs NSTC Lion & I did knots which was SO HARD but with help I managed a decent figure of eight knot, then it was flags & these flags spell out BEAR & I got to run them up the flagpole & fly my name in flags! #bearswithjobs
