BBHS was proud to welcome back the Zuzu African Acrobats this year. To quote their website: Hailing from Tanzania, ZUZU AFRICAN ACROBATS celebrate the two thousand year old Bantu culture of East Africa. Our students and staff even got to be part of the show.
Today our sophomore & junior AVID students toured the Kean University campus. The rain held out as our students learned about the different offerings the campus has to offer.

Four BBHS Social Studies Honor students were able to attend the symposium - "Why Washington Chose Middlebrook: Geography and Logistics" held at Raritan Valley Community College. The symposium is supported in part by the Abraham Staats House and the W3R-NJ Organization.

ESL III students analyzed & evaluated evidence regarding animal intelligence through observation and interaction w/ various aquatic species @ Adventure Aquarium; synthesized info gathered from the field trip & previous research, &communicated their findings through presentations.
The Spanish Club ^ Hispanic Honor Society went on a local field trip where they learned how music & food are used to convey messages, preserve history & share cultural values through observation & practice w/ different styles of dance & traditional dishes at the local restaurant.
This week, students in the Law & Society class had the opportunity to meet with members of the NJ State Judiciary. In addition to a tour of the Somerset County Courthouse, students met with Superior Court Judge Robert Ballard and Pierrette Torres of the Office of Ombudsmen.

The math and science depts hosted 2 joint STEM field trips to iFLY indoor skydiving in Paramus. Students learned about the physics and math of skydiving, participated in a lab and wind tunnel demo, & got to fly! Thank you to Mr. Thomas, Mr. Hueston & Mrs. Smith for organizing.
