Every day, I feel as though I occupy a space where I either don't belong or feel inadequate to be a part of.

It's a paradox of human nature: while everyone pursues their own interests, the pursuit is deemed selfish only when it conflicts with our own desires.

It's astonishing to me how many people pursue a career in medicine without a genuine interest in helping others, not just patients, but also their colleagues.

I'm grateful that my parents instilled tough love in me and nurtured my mental resilience. It was clearly all to prepare me for this time in my life.

The highlight of my week was interacting with the faculty and absorbing the knowledge they provide, both in and out of the OR. However, the low point was pretty much everything else. Beyond thankful for a well-timed weekend off. 🙏🏿
