Folks it's not "too late" to stop Earth breakdown. Now is the best time to push! The movement is finally starting to go mainstream. Fight for every fraction of a degree

In 1945 we defeated violent fascist leaders who controlled the press & public perceptions of truth. If you were 20 then, you are now 97 — or dead. I wonder if dictators are popular today because hardly anyone alive remembers the havoc they wrought & why we fought against them.

"Ending plastic pollution will require a system change...this should include elimination of problematic plastics...mandates for transparency across the value chain..." from Norway who just spoke at the #plasticsINC #plasticstreaty meeting.

The problems don't stop once you get your PhD. This is the job market situation in three European countries and the US. It's extra bad in Germany. #IchBinHanna 4/n

I ask myself how much closer have these publications brought to solutions? We now have #plastictreaty but to make real progress we urgently need evidence on the efficacy of solutions in various locations, trade offs amongst solutions & the potential for unintended consequences.

Acute exposure and toxicity studies play an important role in understanding hazard, but longer-term multi-generational studies are needed to assess pollutants which we know will persist in the environment for a long time, like nanoplastics. Read more here: sciencedirect.com/science/articl…

Really exciting news for Microplastic pollution regulation in San Francisco Bay! Glad to see there are now initial MP concentration thresholds There are probably other areas that would also have close to 5 microplastic particles per liters that could be a Category 3 concern
