Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf met with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein RHC yesterday to discuss the strong 🇺🇸🇯🇴partnership and US efforts with Jordan to advance regional peace and security.

I spoke to Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan today to express our concern for the protection of the rights and security of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh. The United States will continue its steadfast support for Armenia and its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The United States and Djibouti share a longstanding security relationship.     It was great connecting with President Ismail Omar Guelleh during my first trip across Africa as Secretary of Defense. I look forward to continuing our efforts to further grow the 🇺🇸 🇩🇯defense partnership.

Right now, we face a moment where basic principles like sovereignty, territorial integrity, and universal human rights are being tested. We must stand up — we owe it to ourselves, to each other, and to generations to come.
