Power of bedside ultrasound scanning in the urology clinic. Tertiary referral for #holep walks into clinic. Struggling with poor flow. #POCUS took seconds, bilateral hydronephrosis with bladder upto umbilicus! Minimal symptoms. Off to surgical admissions for catheterisation.

#holep is an amazing operation. 69 yr old, catheter for retention. Referred by colleagues from University Hospitals Birmingham. 378 grams morcellated weight at HOLEP yesterday. Catheter out 6 am today. Went home today, passing urine, catheter free. Can’t do that with open/robotic simple prostatectomy
