Blithfield Res totals 22x little egret 2x greenshank Ruff, 21x ringys 10x Bkackwits Curlew, 3x oyks, Bartailed Godwit, 2x Gt White Egrets,2x Red Kites, Ruff, 3x wheatear, Osprey, 8x whinchats, green sandpiper and a Snipe. Then the storm came,

Middleton Lakes,The Glossy Ibis was showing distantly on the Canal Pool this morning also seen were 2x Great Egrets. Then to Ladywalk for the Wryneck that showed well after a while, behind the Distribution Centre.

Cannock Chase this am, in the murky conditions, our 1st 2 Bramblings of the year in a flock of Chaffinch,also a mixed flock of redwing and fieldfare, 1x mistle thrush a bullfinch, 2x nuthatch, 2x treecreeper, and a Reed Bunting. There are chaffinch in the first picture honest.

Hammerwich patch walk in the sun this morning, small flocks of Redwing and Fieldfare were showing throughout the walk, as well as a Bullfinch, Song Thrush, Yellowhammer, two Greenfinch and 8x goldfinch, large numbers of Woodpigeons were passing through all morning.

Branston gp. A good couple of hours this morning, we saw 78x golden plover, hundreds of lapwing, a green woodpecker, 2x green sandpiper, 2x redshank, 10+5x Curlew,3x skylark, 5x ruff, a ringed plover as well as 21x shelduck on the sandy pit.

Cannock Chase Sherbrooke to Mere pool, 3x reed bunting , 5x Mipits, 2x Green Woodpeckers, 15x Chiffchaffs 3x Song Thrush, 2x Nuthatch, 6x Treecreepers, 3x buzzards 4x Coal Tits and our first Willow Warbler of the year, all before we got drenched.

Whitemoor Haye this morning. 18x yellowhammers. 6x reed bunting.5x LRP. 5x Wheatear. 3x chiffchaffs. 2x Common Whitethroat. 3x a White Wagtail and Willow Warbler with Skylarks singing everywhere

Cannock Chase cadet huts to the stepping stones today 3x bullfinch, 7x tree pipit, a cuckoo, green woodpecker, 1x redstart and 2x mandarins

Cannock Chase today. Chris, Trev, and I saw our first five Crossbills since April last year. Also today 40+siskins, 3x song thrush 5x blackcaps 6x whitethroat 3x garden warbler, goldcrest spot fly GSW treecreeper nuthatch and Tree Pipit. Plenty of WW and Chiffs still singing

Cannock Chase this week included 30+Crossbills, 25xRedpoll in a flock of 60, including some siskins. Today we saw the 1st Bramblings of the year 19/9,and 1 counted. A stonechat two ravens and six nuthatch were the best of the rest

Cannock Chase, after the heavy rain with Chris&Trev. 2x bullfinch, 4x redpoll, 4x nuthatch, a treecreeper 2x mistle thrush, 2x raven, 50+Crossbills, 6x goldcrest, also flocks of siskin, Fieldfare and redwing making a decent morning’s walk, before more rain.

Cannock Chase, Sherbrooke valley area this morning, 28x redpoll, bullfinch, 2x raven, 3x stonechat, sparrowhawk, 2x nuthatch, treecreeper, also, 20+greenfinch along with a mixed flock of Fieldfare and redwing below the Whitehouse. Lots of Deer were moving in the valley.
