Threshold testing using ventilatory measurements during a ramp test (10W/30s), performed at home via wearable technology (Tymewear.com). Next functional test of field ventilatory measurement, Uno-X Mobility Cycling cycling training camp, Spain! (VE/min is in arbitrary units).

Nice to have Paul Ringo, a (quite fit) exchange student from Grenoble, France, in the lab. He does not mind suffering for science! VO2max test with Tymewear wearable vs metabolic cart comparisons.

Visma brought so many new innovations to Algarve… 🧐 1. Vingegaard using a trimmed visor compared to Van Aert. 2. Riders using a Tymewear breathing sensor to measure rate and tidal volume.* 3. And mainly Jonas Vingegaard was spotted riding 150mm SRAM Rival cranks! 1/3

*And to add to the second point of Tymewear breathing sensor, it can be a good indicator and even controller of fatigue. Speaking about his Hour Record, Dan Bigham mentioned that he tried to not let his breathing get too out of control and this helped him pace his effort. 3/3

Half-marathon data from PhD student Thomas Lagoute. HR does not tell the tale of the price he paid for going out too fast. Breathing frequency does. Data via Tymewear.com
