a lead #token found in Asia Minor, now @RM_Oudheden which reads 'Apophoreton'. Apophoreta in antiquity were gifts given to guests to take away at dining events - a sort of 'party favour'. A token of the same design was found around #Ephesus, the token was likely created there.

This is maybe one of my favorite collections that I've worked on, particularly with regard to trying to re-frame the story of Hawaiian coins from a more Hawaiian perspective. (Though I do hate the sound of my own voice)
