It can be a long road to become a scientist, but can be a lot of fun on the way! Alison O’Reilly was inspired by her bee net and never looked back! It can be used to research bees..but also ward of snakes and protect from bears! UCD School Ag & Food UCD Earth Institute SUSPOLL Project #soapboxsciencedublin

Fantastic talk by the super Alison O’Reilly during Soapbox Science Ireland Dublin! Weaving stories of her research with all the facts!

We know that #bumblebees can be exposed to glyphosate when foraging in the environment we need a better understanding of the hazard this herbicide poses to bumblebees, which we investigate through the PROTECTS project read the full paper here: setac.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/et… (6/6)

Interesting talk by Alison O’Reilly from SUSPOLL Project group talking about her work on crop management of mass flowering crops with higher risk to pollinators in later flowering crops. AAB @aabiologists.bsky.social Royal Entomological Society BES Agricultural Ecology pollinator meeting 2022

Enjoyed Alison O’Reilly’s talk at #Pollinators22. Super interesting discussion of season’s impacts on bee assemblages in OSR.

A huge congratulations to Linzi Jay Thompson for submitting her #PhD thesis today! Linzi has been looking at fungicides and herbicides and interactions with bees as part of PROTECTS project UCD School Ag & Food, co-supervised by Jane Stout. Very proud of her and all the work she's done! 🥳🎉

A huge congratulations to Alison O’Reilly who submitted her PhD yesterday. Alison has been looking at pesticides & beneficials in agroecosystems, with a special focus on widely used insecticides and implications for bee behaviour & pollination. Great job Alison! #proudsupervisor

What an amazing team - most but not all of the plant-pollinator interactions research group School of Natural Sciences, Trinity College Dublin Trinity College Dublin Thanks Sophia for 📸

Meet our amazing & well connected team of researchers & lecturers of the #NatureConservation & #LandscapeEcology group Universität Freiburg🌳🐝🌸Every Wednesday, I will present one of our scientists #NatureScientistsUFR👩🔬👨🔬

Alison Alison O’Reilly is a #postdoc working as part of the PoshBee Project project in our group #NatureScientistsUFR Universität Freiburg nature.uni-freiburg.de/research/Laufe… Her interests include working towards more #sustainable agricultural systems that benefit people & the #environment 👩🌾🌍🌽🐝
