Yesterday, we were delighted to deliver a public lecture at @ines_ruhengeri speakers shared the work we do in regard to students with disabilities during and after University through internerships. INES @university_of_rwanda Ministry of Education | Rwanda Mastercard Foundation

We also discussed on the legal framework for people with disabilities. Afterward,students engaged by asking questions, and the guests provided thoughtful responses.INES aims to be a university that promotes inclusion and accessibility for students with disabilities.

💡 Today, the First Multi-Stakeholder Forum took place in Kigali, Rwanda, where key policy reform proposals and inclusion strategies in higher education in Rwanda were discussed.

The ANSWER 1st Multi-Stakeholder Forum at KCEV was an insightful gathering, fostering discussions on inclusive Higher Education policies in Rwanda. Stakeholders explored ways to ensure policy reforms address the needs of students with disabilities and promote equity.

As highlighted during the Forum, the Report on the Status of Inclusion at Higher Edu. Level in Rwanda shows progress in inclusive policies, UDL adoption &accessible infrastructure. However, challenges persist in faculty training, assistive tech data gaps,stigma &marginalization.

📊 On March 4th and 5th, a Management Meeting of ANSWER took place, where ANSWER partners gathered in Kigali. 🚀 We take great pride in the smooth running of the project and the significant progress being achieved in fostering the inclusion of SWDs within HEIs in Rwanda!

🌟On 27–28 March 2025, the University of Rwanda successfully held the 2nd Pilot Training on Disability & Inclusionat its Gikondo Campus in Kigali, under the theme: "Promoting Equal Access in Academic and Social Life for All."
