It's #SwiftAwarenessWeek! Swifts are familiar symbols of summer that have declined by 60% in the UK since the mid-1990s, and the species is now Red-listed. Watching their awesome aerial displays over our towns and cities may soon become a rare treat.

Ivory Shower Every year, poachers kill 20,000 elephants for their #ivory. Ivory seems to have greater value to us for aesthetic purposes, than for the #elephants who rely on it for survival. I hope this #wildlifeartivism makes you think. Lumix UK S5 Daler-Rowney #fwinks #art

Let's make up for the loss of the blue bird with some bird names beginning with #X shall we? First up is one we would flock to see on its very rare visits to our shores: Xenus cinereus, the Terek Sandpiper! #TwitterX

Please screen-grab this tweet and keep it handy when food prices soar , water-wars break out , your house burns down , your business is washed away , polar bears are extinct or in a few years time when a desperate and angry young person asks you who was responsible for killing

I see this in action and I feel out of place. At Cambridge I know ONE other student who went to an all ability state school; he’s my best friend and a wonderful poet. I hope we can both keep pushing through the system and make our livelihood doing what we love.
