Fascinating day at Elsecar Heritage Centre working on the #Newcomen boiler house restoration with Furniss & Sons ltd today. Highlight of the day was this lovely clay pipe bowl found by Tom and Gaz. Can anybody tell us what date it is? Found in 1920s backfill, but feels earlier. Poss 1890s?
