About bloody time, I'm O-neg and have been waiting to help since I came over 13 years ago. Spread the word, also affects many travelling Aussies from the 80s & 90s. Mad cow disease ban for blood donations from UK residents lifted in Australia by TGA abc.net.au/news/2022-04-2…

Great to join @oreotheoread for her first home #Lions game after a fantastic first day at #IACIS2022 characterisation workshop, even though the #doggies lost

Now it's on to shape/form factor modelling of #SAS data on day 2 of the #IACIS2022 advanced characterisation workshop Dr Susi Seibt from ANSTO Australian Synchrotron walking us through her beautiful nanoparticle data in #SASView

Now we're into the realm of fitting contrast matched #SANS data at the #IACIS2022 advanced characterisation workshop Dr Joshua Marlow from Sydney Chemistry showing how to construct multi-contrast models and Lela de Campo from ANSTO taking us through modelling the actual data

Last but by no means least in the SAS session of the #IACIS2022 advanced characterisation workshop we're hearing from Pierre Panine from Xenocs on their benchtop #SAXS data processing and analysis package, XSACT

Loving the indigenous theme of the coffee bean line this week as we celebrate #NAIDOC week ANSTO Australian Synchrotron Thanks to @GeoloJess_ and co-organisers for putting this together, come down for story telling and to get some native seeds to grow if you're green-fingered.

Come down and see/hear about the research being undertaken at the ANSTO Australian Synchrotron on 16th October. See the instruments and hear from the scientists that work with them every day, like me. It promises to be an enLIGHTening experience. Bookings required.

This started as a "suck it and see" experiment with Marta Krasowska, StephMacWilliams, Ben Boyd and the SAXS/WAXS team ANSTO Australian Synchrotron and it grew into a really nice study. Great to see creative thinking pay off and what's possible when you try something new.

Great to see the first of a series of works by Malinda Salim Ben Boyd in collaboration with Fonterra published in Colloids & Interfaces MDPI. Check it out if you're interested in how casein and milk phospholipids affect the digestion of emulsified milk fats
