July 1943: 160,000 Allied troops, including 93,000 Canadians, invaded Sicily ahead of the assault on mainland Italy. The 484 Canadians who died during the conflict were honoured today in a ceremony at the Agira War Cemetery where they are buried. #CanadaRemembers #Italy75
