My final panel of the day was Such Sights to Show You: How Women in Horror Make Movies on Any Budget. Probably the most fun I had all day. The chemistry between these filmmakers is just on another level. Some highlights below.

The panelists answer who and what they would bring to an isolated island to shoot a film.

Alison Locke mentioned film-grab during the panel (one of my favorite sites to use for cinematography) and suggests upcoming filmmakers use services like it for inspiration. She also encouraged to make strong connections with colleagues and give back to your community.

Brea Grant, Chelsea Stardust, and Camille Corbett discuss film festivals, and how new filmmakers can access grants to help fund their projects.

At one point, Maggie Levin went on an extensive exploration of the pitching process, prepping for production amidst tight deadlines, and surrounding yourself with the right people to work with.
