For students, AI is not always a homework answer generator! This paper shows that an after school AI-assisted tutoring can help improve educational outcomes in resource-constrained schools. It’s a good day for digital development.

Careful how you use gen AI in the classroom. This nice paper by Alp Sungu Hamsa Bastani et al. shows that learning can suffer. That can be mitigated by the AI teaching by a sort of Socratic method. Hints rather than answers. pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…
