Allergic diseases result from aberrant production of IgE antibodies against otherwise innocuous environmental antigens. Read a Rostrum on CD4+ T cells and T follicular helper cells. Could Tfh plasticity be harnessed for therapeutic benefit? bit.ly/3sSn1cd

We strongly believe that graduate students deserve to be fairly compensated to match inflation, as well as feel adequately supported by administration. To begin to combat this issue, we wrote a letter to our graduate program Medical Sciences

Emily Feng Despite my appointment in Medicine, I take almost all my graduate students through BBS because they have more staff support. I have also paid my MedSci students BBS rates. I have raised these (and other) concerns at the IQAP review of the MedSci. You're right to push for better.

Exciting Workshop on "Dynamics of B cell memory" at the #KSBCELLS23 co-chaired with Kim Good-Jacobson. The memory field is moving fast! Thanks Brian Laidlaw, Pascal Chappert, Manon Termote, Allyssa, Eva Conde García, Zhixin Jing, Haewon Sohn and Theresa Pinter for your great talks!

Thrilled to share a preprint from my PhD work on memory B cell plasticity in allergy. The persistence of IgE immunity critically relies upon MBCs. In this work, we show that the reservoir of allergen-specific MBCs can be reprogrammed away from an IgE fate!

Delighted to announce that our study is out on BioRxiv. I feel very fortunate to have been a co-first author on this project with Kelly Bruton

Very excited that this paper is out. It's a protocol, but it's also a lot more. There's a ton of validation data and recommendations. Great work by Allyssa and Diego and a great collab with @JustinTaylorLab. A behind-the-paper and thread to follow soon! Nature Protocols

We found type 2 polarized memory B cells! (Maybe the equivalent of Th2 cells?) I am so excited to see this paper published Science Translational Medicine! This was a team effort pushed by myself, Allyssa, Kelly Bruton and our colleagues ALK. 🧵1/18 science.org/doi/10.1126/sc…

I got really excited by the concept of sharing the stories that go untold that exist behind every paper. Like @JustinTaylorLab, I wrote up some of the learnings that came along the way from our recent Nature Protocols paper! go.nature.com/3uR2gCk (1/2)
