Great time working with Ally and her Grade 1s at Vincent Massey today! Ss used “Draw & Tell” on iPads to divide objects in the room into fractions then record their explanations. Perfect blend of using the technology as a tool and pairing it with good pedagogy!

All 7 of them have masks on and are staying 2 meters apart! Let’s see what they will implement for the 30 Kindergarten kids that will be in that library in just weeks!

Kids in elementary are only with one teacher all day as compared to secondary? Good lord, many elementary kids see more teachers each day than secondary students. Don’t these folks know how schools actually work?

The Minister of Ed has told school boards to ensure that K to 12 students receive up to 225 minutes a day of live synchronous online instruction. Or, almost 4hrs per day of live online learning for 4,5,6,7,8... year old students. Let that sink in! Elementary Educators #onted
