April is child abuse awareness month. What survivors hear: "You're stronger now because of the abuse." "I bet your abusers were abused too." "Now you can help others who were abused." What they need to hear: "That was not supposed to happen. Are you ok?"

The older you get, the more you prioritize peace, solitude, and genuine connection over forced socializing. You don't mind missing out because it's a relief rather than a loss; most people are draining af, and for every hour you spend with people, you need to spend 5 hours alone.

Stay away from people who often tell you to be the "bigger person" to let their sh*t slide. They manipulate and pressure you into tolerating disrespect, avoiding accountability, or suppressing boundaries. You deserve mutual respect, not endlessly accommodating their bad behavior.

One day you’ll look back & understand why your timing was perfect & why things had to happen exactly the way they did. To protect you, to guide you & to redirect you to where you were always meant to be. Trust the process of your path, evolution & growth — it's all divine timing.
