Not exactly a ringing endorsement from Bowser here after Mark Segraves asked her about the questions swirling around Eleanor Holmes Norton's future: "There is a time for talking about elections, and I don't choose to do that right now."

I just got thrown out of a DC Council meeting where they are discussing removing the RFK language from the DC budget. NBC4 Washington


I asked Councilmember Zachary Parker about these discussions just now: He says the basic idea is to leave RFK money in the budget but then vote on a standalone bill this fall. He calls the mayor's attempts to force that July 15 deadline "disingenuous." Here are his full comments:


.CM Christina Henderson just introduced a bill to prohibit an expelled council member from serving again for 5 years as ex-CM Trayon White, charged with bribery, is currently running again for the Ward 8 seat. Would have to be ratified by voters as an amendment to the District charter.
