SESSION #3 This week, the AIYEP delegates identified and reflected on communication styles and how they play a role in dealing with conflict. In their discussions, they were able to identify where they fall on communication and conflict resolution spectrums. #dfat #aiyep2023

During our final weekly catchup AIYEPers shared their expectations for they program. The expressed their shared excitement to be meeting each other in the coming weeks, after several weeks of online catchups, as the Indonesians prepare to depart for Australia in the coming days.

First counterpart meetings in Canberra The Indonesian delegates arrived in Canberra yesterday and were surprised by a welcoming of some of their Australian counterparts upon arrival. It was an exciting day with our Indonesian counterparts sharing some gifts from back home.

Last week, the AIYEP delegates were warmly welcomed by His Excellency the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley to Government House. Touchdown! 🛬🇮🇩 The Australian and Indonesian AIYEP delegates have arrived in Indonesia after several days of team-building and preparations in Canberra.

Australian Embassy visit 🇦🇺🦘 While in Jakarta, the AIYEP delegates visited the Kedutaan Besar Australia, which is the biggest Australian embassy in the world.

Internships are a key part of the AIYEP experience, where the delegates can gain real-world industry experience in a different cultural context. Our Australian and Indonesian delegates were warmly greeted by Bapak Isyak Meirobie, Wakil Bupati Belitung, wonderful cultural performances and wholesome cheer from the whole island. #aiyep2023 Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade 🇦🇺
