Together, we are committed in #Narok and #Laikipia to fight GBV and enhance women's access to resources

Women and adolescent girls in #Narok and #Laikipia counties are set to benefit from the "Women Empowerment and Environment and Health Support"; an initiative by AICS Nairobi that will enhance women's access to resources and fight their exposure to harmful cultural practices.

The support program will particularly combat GBV by promoting sexual and reproductive health rights among women and girls. The initiative was launched at the AICS Nairobi regional office, graced by PS Anne Wang'ombe, Italy in Kenya ambassador, Roberto Natali and Giovani Grandi.

Hon. Mohamed Abdi Hayir (Maareeye), @moai_somal Minister, witnessed ongoing canal rehabilitation work in #Jawhar, supported by AICS Cooperazione_it. Covering 34 km, these canals will enhance irrigation for 4 200 smallholder farmers, increasing agric productivity across 4 815 hectares.
