Look in the upper arm of this galaxy- you'll see a star appear to blink in and out of existence. That's a supernova! Very recently discovered in m101: the Pinwheel galaxy (which I happened to be shooting when this happened)

Daily hydration reminder 💧 Webb spotted a massive water emission from Saturn's moon Enceladus, spanning over 6000 miles and gushing out at 79 gallons per second. (Webb's data shows Enceladus as a white pixel. Compare its size to the water jet below!) go.nasa.gov/42fQbkK

Chandrayaan-3 Mission: The image captured by the Landing Imager Camera after the landing. It shows a portion of Chandrayaan-3's landing site. Seen also is a leg and its accompanying shadow. Chandrayaan-3 chose a relatively flat region on the lunar surface 🙂

The Webb telescope has detected carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere of exoplanet K2-18 b, a potentially habitable world over 8 times bigger than Earth. Webb’s data suggests the planet might be covered in ocean, with a hydrogen-rich atmosphere: go.nasa.gov/3sGKNLe
