Now is not the time to halt #CancerResearch & prevention progress. We call on Congress to prioritize the fight against cancer by pivoting to a short-term CR to fund the gov’t while drafting full appropriations bills that include robust investment in cancer fightcancer.org/releases/acs-c…

Medicaid is a lifeline for millions, including cancer patients & their families. Cuts aren’t possible without harm. Expanding access means earlier diagnoses, timely treatment & better survival rates. Keep this information going by sharing.

The reality is the vape registry bill H 3728 and S 287 is a bill by Big Tobacco. Yes, it sounds like it does great things but it does nothing to prevent youth from using these products! SC House GOP Caucus SC House Democrats

Meet our April Volunteer Spotlight: Dr. Ian Padykula, State Lead Ambassador for @ACSCANSC. Recently, Ian came to D.C. for the OVAC Lobby Day to ask his lawmakers to fund #CancerResearch to save lives from cancer. #NationalVolunteerWeek

Heated tobacco products meet the def of a cigarette and should be taxed as such. SC House GOP Caucus SC House Democrats don’t be fooled into thinking H4303 is a bill to help people quit smoking.

Tomorrow Energy and Commerce Committee will begin markup of a bill that will cut Medicaid, a program that 1 in 3 children w/cancer & 1 in 10 adults w/a history of cancer rely on for health care. Russell Fry , this is your chance to #ProtectMedicaid. SC is counting on you.

Medicaid provides essential health coverage to people across the country, including those with cancer. Any cuts to Medicaid could jeopardize lifesaving care for millions of cancer patients. Lindsey Graham, can I count on you to oppose cuts & #ProtectMedicaid?

Yesterday Energy and Commerce Committee and Energy & Commerce Democrats passed a bill that would make devastating cuts to #Medicaid. Russell Fry we are disappointed in your vote. Please stand up to #ProtectMedicaid for South Carolinians and cancer patients when this bill comes to the floor.

The House is expected to vote this week on a bill that would cut #Medicaid by $715 billion & kick 8.6 million people off their insurance. Send a message to your Rep. & urge them to vote NO. #CutsHaveConsequences for cancer patients, children & more. act.fightcancer.org/a/they-vote-te…

1/3 The House passed a bill cutting Medicaid funding by an est. $715 billion. If approved by the Senate, these cuts will raise health care costs, negatively impact state budgets & deny affordable health care to at least 8.6M people, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Thank you Senator Tim Scott for signing a July 24 14 member letter to Office of Management and Budget asking for proper disbursement of appropriated FY25 NIH research funds. This funding is crucial in the fight against cancer nationwide. We hope we can count on you to #ProtectCancerCures in FY26, too.
