This is how you support NFT promoters / fake collectors and you may not know, and how they grow their business 🧵 1/n

2/n - You drop your NFTs and follow accounts with fake shilling threads in hope to sell your NFTs or get free exposure. Some of them follow you in the beginning. They grow their Twitter accounts while you don't make any NFT sales and do not build your own NFT community.

3/n - After reaching a number of followers, they unfollow thousands of those that they followed, until they get some ratio (to feel important), and you believe in that and treat them based on this ratio or number of followers (specially if you are new in the NFT space).

4/n - They start to promote NFTs and giveaways and you start giving money to promote your NFTs to an audience who are not interested to buy NFTs. They exchange RTs between one another and have bot RTs to have engagement.

5/n - You quit the NFT space frustrated as you start to see just tweets from these accounts (as they RT one another) as you keep engaging with them. You let your account following them forever. They become big zombie accounts followed by thousands of abandoned accounts and bots.

6/6 Make sure if you follow a big account, to check what they are actually doing good to keep the NFT space healthy👊 Mute/block all the others acting bad, even if they follow you to avoid falling in a trap!
