Representing SJO Softball is Shayne Immke. The senior and our Player of the Year established a new IHSA single-season home runs record with 25, also driving in 64 runs on the year. She clubbed 16 doubles and a school-record 13 triples, tacking on 17 walks for a 25-win team.

Shayne Immke constantly had family members attending her St. Joseph-Ogden softball games. That included grandfather David Hamilton, who died not long before she was named our 2023 All-Area Player of the Year. news-gazette.com/sports/2023-al…
