Rat Racer Project is finally complete 🐀 The old 1970's Peugeot frame now has a new claris groupset and much much more. She rides like a dream, really fast 🚲

Oh dear lord...

Pottering around in my little bike workshop today & considering making something wacky for this year's Eroica Britannia I totally forgot about the child's bicycle project with the 80cc engine! How could I have tucked her into a corner and forgotten all about her!

I've not ridden a bicycle in a few months due to being too 'over-passionate' about my career. I thought I'd get back into the swing of things today 🚴 It was 21 miles of absolute boredom 🤔

Finally decided on a colour for my mountain bike conversion 🚲 Gone a little old school with Ford Sierra Beige

Almost there! Finally starting to look more like a bicycle 🚲 new paint/decals, handlebars/headset/grips, Shimano hydraulic brake levers and calipers, new seat, 1x (32T) crank, Shimano (42T) groupset, bottom bracket, serviced suspension, new bearings/cables all round

Well that was fun!

So the 1x10 conversion is complete and rides like a dream

We took our fun 1970's folding bike out for a coupe of hours! It got some strange looks, especially by the serious mountain bikers. But admittedly I guess it does look like I'm riding my grandmother's bike 🤔
