A very important book on the subject. Ushinor Majumdar is a brilliant writer, and his insights on the subject are valuable.

The fight against Urdu was the genesis of student-led movements in East Bengal (and now Bangladesh). A very strong sentiment remains against Urdu becuase of the historical context (and various other reasons too long for a tweet)
