Undergraduate Federal Direct Loan rates may exceed 5% for students borrowing for the 2022-23 academic year.

As expected, there are significant increases in the federal direct loan interest rates for 2022-22!

Interest rates on federal student loans in 2024-25 will be 6.533% (undergraduate Federal Direct Stafford), 8.083% (graduate Federal Direct Stafford) and 9.083% (Parent PLUS and Grad PLUS).
