I have no issue with the SGA push off. I think that absolutely should be a no-call in that moment. It’s just extremely poor optics for the NBA to allow Shai to do that, and then parade him to the line over ticky tack contact in the same moment.

I’ve hated Indy’s pick and roll coverage this entire series. I don’t know how many times Carlisle needs to watch SGA lay the ball up with Turner jogging in behind the play…

Again… I just don’t understand having Turner up that high on a screen 35 feet away from the rim. It’s literally setting Myles up to fail.

Chet has been pretty brutal on offense in this series, but I’d argue he’s been the strength of the defense. His ability to defend on the perimeter in switches AND protect the rim has broken Indy’s offense in just about every pivotal run of the series.

This is how I would defend these halfcourt screens. Turner isn’t as quick, so he’d have to be a bit further back, but have him drop and let SGA try to score over him at the rim where his length is a factor. Out too far his length isn’t a factor, but his lack of quickness is.

I thought SGA was fantastic in that 1H. Reminiscent of Game 2, just without the left block post ups. Just constantly in attack mode and making the easy kick out reads that are available. The result? OKC already has more 3pt attempts in one half than they had in *all* of Game 4.
