First time I tweet something personal. When I was 4, a bomb fell 10 meters away from me and the memory remained indelible. I am thinking about the future of Ukrainian 4 year olds.

Please read and retweet my latest article on the Trump Self-coup of January 6th. First scholarly article to analyze those events as a self-coup, and compare it to other such attempts cambridge.org/core/journals/… #trump#self-coup#coup#January6th#military

Mom did not attend college and raised me on her own working as a street vendor. Now I hold Ph.D. I am grateful for the support I received from my wife, my mom, family, advisor (David Pion-Berlin), committee members (Nick Weller Miguel Carreras), mentors, and friends. Obrigado!

Now that Heather, Sr. Ringo and I are settled in, it is time to deliver some news: this week I started as a postdoctoral fellow CIPR Tulane. I’m thrilled to be part of such a great academic environment and to live in fabulous NOLA. Having my own office is pretty cool as well!

Thrilled to back in Brazil for this event! We will be discussing our recently released book! It has collection of interviews with military officers regarding their role in public security operations in Brazil. Many thanks to Celso Castro and FGV CPDOC for this opportunity!
