I'm really itching to keep writing The Comet of Satyros, but I've had terrible brain fog since last night, and the upcoming scene is very emotionally tender and needs finesse. I know I can always edit what doesn't work, but in this case it might just be better to hold off.

#FantasyIndiesAugust day 18: WIP playlist I've never really been a playlist person. I don't always listen to music, and when I do, what I listen to is probably sporadic. I do have a couple vinyl records I listen to more often than most things, though.

#AugustWorldBuilders day 18: Have you written lyrics to songs your characters sing? Nope. I have no idea how to format it and so just haven't bothered lol, plus I know nothing about writing the actual lyrics. The closest I've come is having the pov character describing the song.

Interesting coincidence both of the daily prompts I use have such similar questions today. My answers to both are similarly boring, lol.

A second stray cat has shown up on my deck within the past week. Both times they were just chillin' on the table. Each of them ran away after seeing me. I'm not sure what's attracting them, but the urge grows stronger to befriend them and create a herd of cats.

I started reading/playing Scarlet Hollow. This was MADE for me. Creepy small town vibes. Weird monsters and cryptids. Talking animals. A choose-your-adventure story where your choices make actual BIG differences. I'm still really early. What a fantastic discovery.
