Nice to see decent recognition of the role of women in medieval business on yesterday’s trip to the lovely National Trust Paycocke’s house in Coggeshall. A shift in public history away from invisible role of married women to business partnership and knowledge.
Great to hear more about WelshWomensAid #40Voices40Years project at Swansea University yesterday - a really important project for the history of women and the women’s movement in Wales. Mini exhibition is in Swansea University Libraries and Collections now!
Delighted to share the programme for 'Women and Materiality in Medieval and Early Modern Scotland', a one-day symposium IASH, Edinburgh on Friday 26th April 2019. Sign up below. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment! eventbrite.co.uk/e/women-and-ma…

Very exciting start to the morning receiving the cover design for ‘Town Courts and Urban Society’ from Boydell & Brewer. Can’t wait to see the real thing this summer, especially as it features a whole chapter on my favourite medieval Nottingham woman Agnes Halum!
