Someone at our recent Werribee action said “We want better buses, but before we can have that, we need A bus!” 🚍

Next up we have Nasreen Mohamed -- bus user of Mambourin who moved from India, being promised with better bus services. 3 years later she still endures long walks from her closest bus stop and she feels unsafe walking at night and on arterials with heavy traffic.

We now hear from Senthill, a community member from Point Cook who founded Wynbus, a minibus service designed to remedy the poor bus services in the southwest. Frequencies are so bad that people who don't drive can't reach essential services conveniently.

We first hear from Layla, a young teenager from Lalor who has been suffering from poor public transport services. Young people like her cannot rely on buses, which are running for short hours and at poor frequencies. People like her can't get to the places they wanna go.

It has almost been 1000 days since the Victorian Bus Plan has been released, yet there has not been much positive change to the western suburbs, which have been lagging behind.⌛️
