Last night brought a lot of lightning to our region. This is a friendly reminder to avoid open fields (or the Lawn) during these storms to avoid being struck. #UVA

It’s Game Day at Scott Stadium! ⬇️ 🔸We could see some wet weather tonight. 🔸Remember to stay hydrated! 🔸Wear Orange!! 🔸In the event of a weather emergency, please follow all instructions from police and other stadium staff.

Severe weather is anticipated in the Charlottesville area. At this time, the game has not been suspended or delayed but fans are encouraged to begin seeking shelter. Re-entry will be permitted once weather has cleared with proof of ticket purchase.

The Virginia vs Richmond game has been delayed due to severe weather within the area near Scott Stadium. We ask that fans please evacuate Scott Stadium and take shelter in their personal vehicle or one of the surrounding Emergency Shelter locations.

We encourage you to return for the remainder of the game once all-clear announcement has been made. Check UVA social media channels for updates on the possible resumption of play.

Inclement weather has cleared the area. Gates will reopen at approximately 9:10pm. Fan will be permitted to re-enter after going through security screening and showing proof of ticket. The game will begin at 9:17 p.m.
