Everything Chris said is on point. Driscoll is a false teacher. The Pharisees would have condemned the action Driscoll opposed, so should we celebrate Pharisees and follow them? No.

The Mark Driscoll situation seems to point out a major issue within the evangelical church:

The church is desperate for strong voices to speak biblical truth.

So desperate that we will follow unqualified men as long as they say the right things sometimes.
