Farzana Bardai on education and capacity building in Afghanistan

As part of its engagement plan with the Afghan scholars/researchers and academic society in diaspora, the Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies organized a gathering with the Afghan community ( alumni and students) of University of Sussex on Monday 24th of April on the occasion of Eid.

14th March, the Asia Centre is joined by Dr. Saheira Haliel for a talk on 'Working for laowai: trade, gender, employment, and social status'

This May 14 the Asia Centre holds its Annual Lecture and PhD workshop. The workshop’s central aim is to promote the study of Asia and provide a supportive environment for doctoral researchers working on or in Asian settings/communities. Reception to follow in the evening.
