In Ng Kok Wai v Public Prosecutor [2023] SGHC 306, it was held that the District Court can try & convict a Singaporean who commits a crime on a ship on the high seas, even though the crime occurred outside of Singapore. LL.B Timothy Cheng summarises here: bit.ly/4cLaQ64
