I had the pleasure of visiting Tamworth's Heritage Store to discover more about our history. The collection manager, Sarah, showed me items in the collection and discussed the various stories of Tamworth told through objects in the store.

It was great to chat with Dan and his staff at Acorn Taxis about service they provide locally. Did you know they have their own App where you can book and track their cars without surge pricing!

It was fantastic to attend the Food and Drink Federation Reception recently and chat with Minister Daniel Zeichner about food security.

I recently had to get my tyre changed so I popped down to Tamworth Tyres! They did a fantastic job as always, thank you to the team.

It was lovely to visit the Café in St Editha's Church and see the various heritage pieces held within the church.

It was great to meet with Ben Adams, Staffordshire Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner, and Inspector Paul Finlayson in Shenstone recently. We discussed how we can work together to deter Antisocial Behaviour and Crime across Tamworth and our villages.

This fantastic Mercian flag was created by various community groups across Tamworth in celebration of the Athelstan 1100. Thank you to all the fabulous community groups who were involved in making this masterpiece!

It was great to attend the Community Pharmacy event in Parliament recently. I met with the Independent Pharmacies Association to discuss the challenges facing pharmacies and the role they play in supporting our communities health care.

I stand with the campaign that our railways are for people, not for profit. I look forward to supporting Labour's plan to bring rail back into public ownership.

Today I attended the launch of the Tamworth Strategic Partnership where we discussed how we can work collaboratively to bring about positive and effective change to Tamworth. It is vital that we embed crucial cross sector working as we work to make Tamworth Better Together.

Today is #BackBritishFarmingDay! This government is committed to a New Deal for farmers, working to lower red tape for food exports and ensure we buy British. Thank you to all of our local farmers within Tamworth and the villages for all the work they do.

It is brilliant to see our new government set up the Flood Resilience Task Force. This will ensure that local and national bodies are coordinating their approach, and that resources are available to combat flooding within communities like ours.

I had the pleasure of bumping into Home Run Hounds on their meet up recently which sees Greyhound owners meet for a group walk! It was great to talk to Tammy and the team about the fantastic work they do and meet the dogs available for adoption which are brought to each walk!

It was lovely to chat to Oakleys Farm Group at the We Love Tamworth Festival recently and meet some of their animals! I even got to name this bunny after our very own Queen of Mercia, Aethelflaed!

Recently I met with the WASPI Campaign in Parliament to discuss how we can work towards a solution for all those impacted. I know this is an issue that has impacted many of my constituents, I will continue to support you and fight for you on this important issue.

On my recent visit to Eason Pharmacy, we discussed the growing number of pharmacy closures. We must support our local pharmacies and the vital work they do for our community.

It was fantastic to attend the Alternative Market put on by Neyaha and Mharie recently. This event brought together local businesses from Tamworth and afar, whilst also raising £146 for local charities Changes and the Tamworth Cancer and Wellbeing Centre.

It was great to attend the recent Heritage Open Day celebrating Tamworths rich history at St Editha's. Tamworths heritage is a huge asset to the town and events like this are so important. Thank you to all the volunteers who made the day so enjoyable!

As the treasurer for the Bus and Coach APPG I am proud to support Catch the Bus Month 2024. Catching the bus is a great way to travel and I hope to see the expansion of bus routes across Tamworth with new powers from the Government.
