A wonderful few days with Sheffield Cathedral's Dean, Chapter and staff. Dean Abi's leadership philosophy of "Joyful Excellence" permeates all and I leave with new possibilities for values-led governance and leadership unfolding in my imagination. A full heart of gratitude.

So sad to hear of the death of Jurgen Moltmann. Few theologians have changed me more and when I met him seemed like the youngest old man I'd ever met. "Christ does not merely contradict the world. Christ embraces the world, suffers the contradiction then overcomes it in love."

Wonderful to preside at this colourful wedding and wedding blessing at St Martins recently. They lit the hall with magical light blossom trees.

I didn’t have a chance to post this yesterday. Sad to leave St Martins but thrilled to have been appointed (subject to the usual checks) Team Rector of North Lambeth and Rector of St Anselm’s with two amazing church wardens including Tom.

My annual reminder that Jesus didn't get any A'levels. Thinking of all our young people getting results today. Explore the idea that the future is not the sum total of what you have done or even what others have done to you, but a gift from the boundless storehouses of God.

Solid GCSE in Hebrew and / or Carpentry?? 😉 It's a great reminder from Rev Sally Hitchiner that our identity is not found in letters and numbers. We are created to be so much beyond.
