Earlier today, a NWS storm survey team followed the path of severe thunderstorms that moved through our forecast area during the early morning hours of Thursday May 9th and confirmed three tornadoes. Details on the tornadoes are provided in the following graphics. #CAEWx #SCWx

An approaching upper disturbance and frontal boundary may result in scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon into early evening, with some being strong to severe. Damaging winds are the primary concern. #scwx #gawx

The likelihood for severe storms is a bit higher today than yesterday, with rain chances higher as well. Timing is late afternoon into the evening with a cold front moving through the area.
