Millions of adults in the U.S. face mental health 🧠 issues each year. Our researchers are working to understand these conditions better and provide solutions for patients. Andreas Horn talks about how work helped a patient with OCD regain her life.
23/n We tested Cleartune in a clinical setting with 5 patients prospectively enrolled by MartinMReich from the University of Würzburg 🙏. In this blinded feasibility study: for 4/5 patients, Cleartune settings led to comparable, if not better, improvements than SoC!
So honored to share that our paper led by Andreas Horn with these inspiring women Nanditha Rajamani Helen.Friedrich Barbara Hollunder and so many brilliant authors (including my partner for almost 10 years and director of the functional neurosurgery course at Mayo Clinic
Somehow all I’ve done in the ~12 years of my career pointed towards this very study. When Nanditha Rajamani came along it was finally possible to carry it out. Super happy that it’s out - and we hope this will have a true impact on how we apply DBS, in the future! A thread below:
Fantastic new #Retune work by Andreas Horn Nanditha Rajamani et al.! DFG public | @[email protected]
Brilliant work to identify symptom-specific networks in Parkinson's disease, then to subsequently personalize deep brain stimulation targets based on a patient's symptom profile. 👏👏👏 Warm congrats Nanditha Rajamani, Barbara Hollunder, Julian Neumann, Dra Vanessa Milanese MD PhD, Michael Fox, Andreas Horn &
Taking tracts to the next level - amazing work by Nanditha Rajamani Helen.Friedrich Andreas Horn and a village of great scientists.
🧠 🪄 Could specific brain tracts be targeted with DBS to address different symptoms of Parkinson‘s disease? 💡Find out in: nature.com/articles/s4146… Nature Communications Very honored to be part of this exciting work alongside such brilliant minds. Nanditha Rajamani Andreas Horn
Looks like another amazing study from Andreas Horn and colleagues. Congratulations!
Check it out this amazing🧵by Nanditha Rajamani of our paper just published in Nature Communications: nature.com/articles/s4146… Congratulations Nanditha Rajamani Andreas Horn Helen.Friedrich Georgios Skandalakis Erik Middlebrooks, MD Barbara Hollunder MartinMReich and all the incredible team for this
Congratulations Nanditha Rajamani Andreas Horn and coauthors on this beautiful and comprehensive study!
Another (min) 4 years of top-notch neuromodulation research within Retune – CRC TRR 295!! Congrats to our PIs from Charité Experimental Neurology Berlin and CSB who are on board: Anna Kufner MD PhD Christoph Harms Lab WengerLab Philipp Boehm-Sturm Matthias Endres
Proud friend moment Nanditha Rajamani Andreas Horn! This game-changer on modulating PD symptom networks w/ DBS has it all—innovative findings/methods, meticulous validations & beautiful figures. What a delight it has been witnessing you breathe life into it from the desk next to yours!
Happy to be a finalist in the Life Sciences category of the Falling Walls #GlobalCall24. Thanks Julian Neumann for the nomination! Excited for the Science Breakthroughs of the Year at the #FallingWalls #ScienceSummit24 from 7-9 Nov. Stay tuned.
