A nose around my mum's house revealed that the former owner's eccentric taste in carpets extended into the attic.

How is it possible that I only just discovered this blue plaque to Will Hay a few minutes from my mum's house? He lived there 1927-34 so maybe bought it new. Visited yesterday and took in the house where Josephine Tey spent her final years, overlooking Streatham Common.
