During my intern year, two of my co-interns separately told me they don’t need radiologists. And no, neither were going into psych. I think about that a lot sometimes

Did I just see the residents doing an LP on a patient that ended up having meningitis? Yes, yes I did. 🙃

Only once in residency did another trainee call to personally thank me for making a life saving call on a CT scan (few hours after our initial call to discuss the findings). Moments like these seem exceptionally rare but ones I will never forget.

As a resident (and perhaps as a fellow too) I think I paid far too little attention to the T1 sequences on MRI and straight to the fluid sensitive sequences but now I am finding T1s extraordinarily helpful in many cases. Anyone else feel the same?
