Where Fr. McCown got the nickname “Hootie” is a mystery. But over the years, I have come across Jesuits known as “Wrong-Way,” “Monk,” “Mugz,” “Blackjack,” “Mad Dog,” “Boom” and, I swear to God, “Three-Fingers.” americamagazine.org/arts-culture/2…

One question for my paleontologically inclined friends:

Are the muscles of T-Rex more akin to duck and therefore requiring a plum sauce?

Or is it indeed closer to chicken, and therefore a mustard sauce would be more befitting?

Gus is on a table again. He also said some horrible things when I tried to get him down and destabilized a foreign government as an act of defiance.

Anyone know how to fix his training issues?

The growth of the Catholic Church in Los Angeles in the 1940s was wild.

A new church every 66 days and a new school every 26 days. Just mind boggling.

My hometown of Lackawanna, NY, received one of the last Carnegie libraries.

It made all the difference in my life 80 years after it had been built and continues to change the lives of so many.

These statistics are incredible.

With what evidence can we claim an increase in neighborhood traffic because of bike lanes?

And if traffic increases in neighborhoods, shouldn’t neighborhood streets be designed to be as safe as possible anyway for pedestrians?
