On Thursday Ms. Wilson and Parent Council with the help of Madame Lane hosted Woodville Elementary’s First Literacy and Wellness Fair! It was a great evening and everyone who came left with their arms full of practical resources to use! #tldsb

Now NS Education and Early Childhood Development's turn to end Reading Recovery. Time for all young students in Nova Scotia to have access to effective early reading instruction & intervention. Becky Druhan recognized that learning to read is a human right -ending RR is an important part of getting us there.

The only one I do not yet own is The Literacy 50. I’ve read 2 of the other 5 and got the three IDA Ontario conference. I have lots of great reading ahead of me!

These awesome Huntsville PS j/i Ss are partner reading in order to support their reading fluency (automaticity). We did an ORF & then used a decision making tree to decide how to proceed. A few Ss receive instruction to support their accuracy at this time. TLDSB Literacy
