When I’m attacked by gays & lesbians for being trans, it’s the most disappointing of all. As someone that lived as a lesbian for nearly 3 decades, I used to hear the same exact arguments against being gay that I hear now against being transgender.

It’s all recycled homophobia.

On this #DayofNoSilence , I promise to always speak up for our LGBTQ kids and Wisconsinites and veto any bill that affects their ability to be safe, valued, supported, and welcome being who they are.

And I was proud to keep that promise again last week.

In 2022, we supported 3026 women through Atira's Homelessness Prevention Program. Our engagement strategy was key. We understood each woman's needs and guided them to financial help or support services. We assisted with paperwork, appointments and more.

Apparently the 'Gender Criticals' shipped their best and brightest mind, Helen Joyce, all the way to Australia to testify in a case against trans rights... and the judge said she can't because she's not an expert in anything 😂

So good to see Olympic Village school funded in the 2024 budget!
