Always a pleasure to catch up with MMA Governor Ali Hashim. We had a good talk about how the Climate Vulnerable Forum V20 Finance Ministers can support central banks to find pre-emptive solutions to the macroeconomic impacts of climate disasters.
Really interesting first meeting today of the new V20 Finance Ministers Central Bank Governors working group. Governors are so critical, especially during a climate disaster, to ensure economies do not crash. The Secretariat will move forward with some solutions-orientated concept notes.
Fascinating opening meeting of V20 Finance Ministers Central Bank Governors working group this morning. Central banks have a crucial role to play stabilizing the economy and ensuring liquidity following climate disasters. CVF/V20 will focus on solutions, as well as advocacy on IFI reforms.
