A look back at some of the sights and sounds from last week’s Spring Meetings. Looking forward to reconvening at the #IMFMeetings in October!

Beyond the formalities, the Spring Meetings is also a time to re-energize, reconnect and strengthen bonds. So many enriching moments this week!

I met with Kazakhstan National Bank of Kazakhstan Governor Timur Suleimenov and expressed my condolences for 🇰🇿 victims of the recent catastrophic flooding. IMF is monitoring the situation closely, providing support through policy advice and capacity development.

As we wrap up the #IMFMeetings , my gratitude to:

- IMF staff for stepping up to the moment, as they always do

Very productive meeting with Serbia Народна банка Србије Governor Tabakovic and Finance Minister Mali. We discussed 🇷🇸’s successful Fund-supported program and ways in which the IMF can continue to support its strong macroeconomic policies and ambitious structural reform agenda.

Fantastic to meet my dear colleague WTO Director General @NOlweala. We discussed our continued collaboration and how we can best address global economic challenges together.

Great meeting with Ecuador’s Minister of Economy and Finance Juan Carlos Vega. We discussed the IMF’s close engagement with 🇪🇨 and ongoing efforts to address the economic challenges facing the country.

Engaging talks with Ghana Office of the Finance Minister-Ghana Minister Adam and Bank of Ghana Governor Addison. Congratulated them on the staff-level agreement for the 2nd review of the IMF-supported program. Counting on 🇬🇭 and bilateral creditors' MoU on debt relief soon to advance the review.

Always inspiring to exchange views with my dear colleague European Investment Bank President Nadia Calviño on enhancing resilient and inclusive growth. I congratulated her on what has been an excellent start at the helm of the EIB!

Congratulated Federal Ministry of Finance Minister Edun and Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Cardoso and their teams on Nigeria’s pursuit of strong macro policies since they took office last year. We discussed tackling food insecurity, sustaining the reform momentum, and how the IMF can best support 🇳🇬.

Catching up with dear Mia Amor Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados. The IMF is a proud partner of 🇧🇧 on its climate resilience and green economy initiatives, supported by the RST. Thank you, Mia, for being such a powerful voice for small and fragile islands states.

Always a pleasure to meet 🇪🇬 Amb Motaz Zahran, وزارة التخطيط والتنمية الاقتصادية Minister Dr. Hala El-Said, وزارة المالية - مصر Minister Mohamed Maait & Central Bank Governor Hassan Abdalla. As Egypt advances its reform agenda, we remain steadfast in our commitment to support 🇪🇬in pursuing its economic policies.

Grateful to 🇰🇷 Deputy PM Sang Mok Choi for Korea's generous grant of $56 million in subsidies to the IMF’s fund serving the most vulnerable. A clear sign of Korea’s unwavering commitment to our shared goals and longstanding partnership in support of low-income countries.

Great meeting with Azerbaijan Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, Azərbaycan Mərkəzi Bankı Governor Taleh Kazimov & COP29 AZ President-designate Mukhtar Babayev. We are committed to supporting 🇦🇿’s development and climate goals and working toward a successful #COP29 in Baku in November.
